Product Description

The Tenor Tool can dust most of the grand piano soundboard area that is covered by strings. To use the Tenor Tool, insert it between the strings, and turn it 90 degrees to drag along the soundboard surface to pick up dust. Turn the tool 90 degrees again to lift it out to vacuum the dust, and repeat as necessary.

The Tenor Tool features welded steel construction, a flexible steel shaft, 100% wool dusting surface, hardwood handle, and plastic coating on the flexible shaft to protect the piano. The flexible steel shaft makes it easier to cover more soundboard area during each pass.

We suggest using the Bass Tool first to quickly dust the bulk of the bass section. For the overstrung areas in the bass, insert the Tenor Tool between bass strings while standing at the front of the piano, and use the flexing of the tool to reach toward the bass bridge. Any areas that cannot be reached from the front will likely be accessible from the other side while standing at the tail of the piano. After finishing the bass and low tenor sections, stand at the front of the piano and continue dusting toward the treble of the piano until the treble bridge prevents going any further. Use the Treble Tool to finish the treble area of the soundboard.
