Use any tuning tip with the Kestrel Tuning Lever (male/metric or female/imperial):
The Supply88 Universal Tip Adapter allows the Kestrel to work with standard female imperial-threaded tuning tips. The adapter is made of hardened tool steel with black oxide finish.
To use a standard, imperial-threaded female tuning tip (Hale, BKB, Watanabe, Taffijn, Cassotto, etc.), insert the metric end of the adapter into the head of the Kestrel Tuning Lever. Without the adapter, the Kestrel accepts Jahn-style, male-threaded (M10 x 1mm) tips.
To adapt the Kestrel to work with traditional, imperial-threaded female tuning tips, thread the metric end of the adapter into the Kestrel, attach the tip, and tighten with a tip wrench.
This photo shows the adapter installed into the Kestrel lever with a Watanabe #1 tip attached:
To remove the adapter, remove the tip, and use a 12mm wrench on the flat sides of the adapter to separate the adapter from the tuning lever or tuning tip.
